Job Description

Macildowie HR are working with a well known organisation in the Leicester area as they are looking for an L&D professional to join them for a 12 month FTC. Hoping for someone to start ASAP and offering £20,000-£25,000 plus other benefits.

Although this is initially a 12 month FTC there is a strong possibility of the role becoming permanent.

The Role

To assess and deliver workforce development and support employees through various contracts. You will work in partnership with the hub of the organisation as well as external parties to identify employees who need extra support and development to move them up to the next level of responsibility.

You will develop a training needs analysis and assessment plan for all staff in need of development and identify individual skills and assessment route.

Training and inducting all parties on the appropriate qualification or unit of accreditation as well as inducting them into the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) to ensure they can record their evidence onto the electronic portfolio system.

Instruct, guide and support mixed ability/age groups/individuals on a one-to-one basis and in groups on a roll-on-roll off system where appropriate.

Assess and submit assignments ie technical certificates and standalone qualifications where necessary and maintaining all quality systems ensuring current and future standards are implemented immediately.

You will also attend staff meetings, workshops, courses and other appropriate events to ensure continuous improvement of programmes and self-development.

The Ideal Candidate

Skills required are in delivering qualifications or units of Leadership and Management and Social Media and Digital Marketing. TAQA or equivalent qualification is highly desirable, along with Vocational Teaching qualification.

The organisation are looking for an L&D professional with 2 years experience working in an assessor role or relevant teaching role with a good understanding of the assessment and internal verification quality process

Good levels of communication both verbal and written as well as a good understanding of Microsoft packages

The ability to plan, organise and manage own time working remotely but linking in with full team regularly are personal attributes that the organisation are looking for. They are a friendly bunch and would like someone who is supportive and approachable, as well as reliable and responsible.
