Macildowie are working closely with a national organisation based in Milton Keynes, who are looking for an Learning and Development Specialist/Manager on a permanent basis.The L&D Specialist will be a key member of a newly created HR team and will have full responsibility of the L&D programmes within the organisation. Working collaboratively you will help to inform and create training plans and programmes for employees and deliver a host of training events within a specific region.
Key Accountabilities of the Learning and Development Specialist/Manager include but are not limited to:
-Design and deliver learning interventions that are commercially focused.
-Work closely with the management team within the region to match their growth plans with the learning needs of employees.
-Evaluate and monitor learning outcomes to identify the effectiveness of training courses and communicate results accordingly. Further finding suitable solutions
-Proactively engage with your stakeholders to support with their personal development including soft skills training.
-Support the successful onboarding of new starters by implementing the newly designed New Starter Programme which includes assisting with the delivery of the Company Induction Day.
-Communicate closely with HR Business Partners to share best practices, but also to ensure the results of employee engagement surveys are followed through.
-Develop content for E-Learning appropriate learning modules.
-Manage all learning activity and records for your region using the LMS.
-Take responsibility for specific L&D projects as directed by the HR director.
Person Specification - Knowledge and Experience
-Background and experience in start to finish L&D programmes.
-Experience in supporting the full training cycle.
-Knowledge and experience of blended learning solutions
-Be a fantastic communicator with a style that is both engaging and confident.
-Experience of designing learning programmes that encourage the learner to acquire new skills
-Good level of coaching ability.
-Be bubbly, trustworthy and personable.
-Have confidence, when necessary, to say no.
-Be as happy to work on own initiative as working with team members.
-Be able to commute to an area on the outskirts of Milton Keynes.
-Be IT 'savvy'.
Salary and Benefits
The Learning and Development Specialist/Manager will receive a salary of up to £45,000 per annum plus a fantastic benefits package which includes matched pension, healthcare, DIS and free on site parking in Milton Keynes.
