Macildowie HR are working with a fantastic organisation in Leicester as they are looking for a temporary Learning Officer. They imagine this role will last between 4-6 months but also does have the potential to turn in to a longer contract and also permanent.
The organisation has 40 years behind them and quite a large portfolio. They are in the process of adding more to that portfolio so it is a really exciting time to be joining them.
You will be supporting colleague learning & development through the delivery and recording of key learning activities and evaluating these activities to determine business impact.
Delivery of interim induction session for new starters will fall within your remit as well as increasing mandatory training compliance levels through targeting non compliance, encouraging e-learning take up.
Co-ordination of day to day in house delivery including Fire Safety, Safeguarding and Universal Credit etc.
Maintaining and contributing to measures of business improvement and impact through all learning activities and targeted advertising of training run in house.
Working with external partners to ensure that any externally delivered training meets the needs of the colleagues and ensuring that managers are aware of any mandatory training that has not been completed by a colleague prior to their probationary review meeting.
You will also be involved with carrying out Digital knowledge checks, awareness raising sessions and feeding ideas and questions into the Project Management team and back to managers and delivery of ad hoc awareness sessions.
Overall coaching and supporting colleagues with career development planning through a period of change alongside the People Development Manager.
The Ideal Candidate
The organisation are looking for someone who has an understanding of the learning theory and a passion to get involved with the delivery side of L&D.
Communication, multi tasking and organisation are very important to the business as well as being a team player and customer focused.
Energy, confidence and credibility would pack a punch for the organisation, as would a positive attitude and approach but being receptive to feedback is highly desirable as the organisation are always trying to better themselves and their employees.
