This is not your typical Financial Accounting position.

In this fixed term contract until February 2018 you will be producing a wide variety of different reports/packs on key issues, as well as changing the management accounts / reporting processes and being the key figure in coordinating a successful year end in January.

THE ROLE & YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
The opportunity on offer is for a Group Accountant to join this very successful business on a fixed term contract with a salary of circa £38,000 to £45,000
You will be a Qualified Accountant coming from a large, complex business
Preparation of monthly Management pack + process mapping of the month-end process
Working with independence and putting your stamp on the role with help from the assistant accountant
Assisting with the production of Statutory Accounts and Financial statements Preparation of monthly P&L
Analysis of monthly, YTD sales
Preparation of monthly variance analysis
Responsibility for stock management / inventory analysis
Group and Subsidiary accounting
Ownership of the monthly management accounting process including implementation, consolidation and reconciliation
EXPERIENCE SOUGHT IN THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:
You will have a real desire to be in a well rounded, varied role with aspects of the usual Group Accounting responsibilities. Its quite a 'techy' role, you will be in a more back office type Finance Manager / Management Accountant / Financial Accountant combined interim position. AND there is definitely room for progression, a permanent job and a longer contract after the successful 8 months.
- CIMA/ACCA/ACA Qualified or Part-qualified (potentially)
- Proven experience in management and financial accounts is essential
- Stock Management experience would be ideal
- Ambitious and driven to progress into a large organisation in a large team
- Experience with Group reporting for a large business
- Subsidiary accounting would be highly advantageous
