Macildowie is pleased to be recruiting an experienced Operational Procurement Manager for a global organisation to be based in their Scotland operations.
Reporting to Head of Procurement, this pivotal role will be responsible for the following:
Creating and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers
Ongoing maintenance of supplier catalogues
Identifying cost-saving opportunities by reducing the number of suppliers
Assisting with tender activity and supplier negotiation relevant to your region
Approving and releasing Purchase Orders
Working closely with stakeholders to ensure Procurement targets are reached
Regular analysis and reporting to record key activities
Supporting the wider business with regards to compliance and processes
Ad hoc duties as required by Management
The successful candidate will have:
Relevant experience in a Manufacturing or Engineering environment
Previous involvement with the tender process and negotiating with suppliers
Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise with the wider business in addition to external suppliers
Strong numerical, verbal and written skills in addition to good working knowledge of Microsoft Office; you'll be required to provide concise and accurate reports and analysis
Commercial acumen, the ability to use your initiative and a can do attitude
This role will be based out of the Aberdeen site, and will attract a salary of between £35,000 - £40,000 with a Car/Car Allowance, 8% bonus plus other benefits.
