The Opportunity

Macildowie Marketing are seeking a Marketing Director for a truly innovative and creative software company in Nottingham. The apps developed by this business have quickly become some of the most well respected professional creative apps available on the market, winning multiple awards as well as thousands of 5-star customer reviews from around the world.

The appointment of a new Director of Marketing is a significant step to help further accelerate the adoption of the apps around the world. The ideal candidate will have a wealth of marketing experience through a multitude of platforms but in particular have a passion for creative apps, and the creative industry in general.

Key Responsibilities

-Create innovative marketing campaigns across both digital and traditional platforms. Including PR, social, exhibitions and events, email, web, in-app promotion and sponsorships
-Developing strategy for greatly expanding product awareness in the corporate and education markets
-Increase reach in foreign markets through better localised content, marketing plans and working with local marketing agencies if required
-Working closely with the creative and artist relations teams to produce high quality marketing assets to promote apps
-Deliver stellar demos and presentations of applications, to internal staff, external partners and company keynotes
-Work with important partners such as Microsoft and Apple to try to align any marketing or promotional activities with them when possible

You will lead the current marketing team of 3 people, but budget is available to increase team size from your recommendations.

Key Experience Requirement

*Ideally 10 years' experience in marketing roles, with 5 years or more at a senior level
Experience of consumer, education and business sector marketing would be advantageous.
*You will be a creative individual, ideally with experience marketing software or apps
*Team leadership skills
*Revels in a small company culture and gets stuck in with what's required, whether or not it's in your job description
*Tech savvy and takes an active interest in the latest hardware developments from Apple and Microsoft.
*Great communication and presentation skills, and comfortable in front of large audiences
