£30,000 - £40,000 DOE plus excellent benefits
Macildowie are currently working with a worldwide renowned company to assist them in recruiting for a Materials Planner. This role would ideally suit a strong Account Manager who has experience in the Manufacturing industry and is looking to take the next step in their career.
The working hours are 7:30am - 4:30pm Mon-Thursday and 7:30am - 12:30pm on a Friday! This company really values its staff!
The role of the Materials Planner will be to plan and expedite parts in accordance with the build demands, Scheduling parts from a complex supply chain.
A real sense of urgency, excellent problem solving abilities and the capability to communicate cross-functionally are essential skills for this highly visible role.
Role & Responsibilities include:
Continuity of supply of parts to assembly and manufacturing operations
Material requirements planning and expedite from an international supply base in line with system requirements
Lean inventory management
Pro-active review and continuous improvement of suppliers / logistics / transportation / packaging
Maintenance of performance in line with Key Performance Indicators (KPI's)
Problem solving / process improvement initiatives
Able to work in a fast paced, pressured environment
Working knowledge of SAP/Production planning systems is desirable
Excellent communication skills
Highly PC literate
Ability to work to tight deadlines
Good analytical and problem solving skills
Driven to achieve results
