Job Description

We have an opportunity for a Medical Secretary to join an NHS establishment based in Nottingham

This is a FULL time role. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:


Verbal and written communication skills
Administration and secretarial skills, with medical terminology a decided advantage
Word processing skills and familiarity with Office suite of applications
Organisational & interpersonal skills
Excellent telephone manner
Numerical skills
Previous experience as a Medical Secretary

Duties of this role include:


Provision of secretarial and administrative support to the Medical Team
Working as part of a small team to provide secretarial and administrative
Organisation of outpatient clinics and appointments, theatre & pre-admission bookings as appropriate
Maintaining consultants' computer diaries by fully understanding and using Midex Pro & UltraGenda IT systems
Dealing with enquiries from patients, GP's, NEC and others
