A global leader in their field, my client are currently recruiting for a Capex Category Manager for a minimum period of 6 months.
Key areas of responsibility:
End to end management of the procurement process for CAPEX (spend in the tens of millions)
Work closely with a range of key stakeholders to ensure effective and successful procurement across all CAPEX spend
Manage all related tendering, contracts and negotiations in line with the project plans
Understand the requirements of the end users and develop a strategy to deliver
Co-ordinate with the greater procurement team to deliver best value solutions
Manage the tendering, supplier selection and approval process
Create annual value activity plans in line with both business and project objectives
Ensure the strategy and outcomes are being delivered through performance metrics and regular review/update meetings with those involved
Embed Ts&Cs that achieve balance between risk, flexibility and commercial benefit
Develop and maximise stakeholder relationships, both internal and external
Must have CAPEX spend responsibility experience
Procurement experience in the delivery of major projects
Drafting and negotiating contractual terms
