Job Description

THE OPPORTUNITY:

Our client, a large company based in Witham St Hughs, is seeking a full-time payroll advisor to support the input of all starters, leavers and changes to the payroll. You will work in a team of 2 and be a flexible and adaptable team player.


THE ROLE & YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Updating the HR database with new starters, leavers, employee changes, sickness and pension changes to send to payroll in line with monthly deadlines
  • Processing overtime and driver payments on a monthly basis to send to payroll in line with monthly deadlines
  • Processing flexible benefit requests on a monthly basis to include childcare vouchers, cycle to work and holiday purchasing
  • Updating and maintaining the BUPA report on a monthly basis and pension reports
  • Producing and distributing monthly payroll reports
  • Dealing with payroll queries as and when required
  • HR Administration and other tasks:
  • Updating the HR database with all temporary workers for payroll and processing of timesheets
  • Ensuring employee records are accurate and up to date
  • Dealing with adhoc queries i.e. requests for information from Line Managers and answering employee questions
  • Organising long service awards
  • Producing reports as requested
  • Booking of rooms and refreshments when required
  • Opening post

    EXPERIENCE SOUGHT IN THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:
  • Payroll and administration experience in a similar role
  • Demonstrated customer service skills to ensure resolution of issues
  • Able to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
  • A proven attention to detail and high accuracy
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Excellent organisational skills, including prioritising workloads, meeting deadlines and managing a varied workload in a busy environment
  • The ability to work on own initiative, making decisions, managing own workload and time, whilst developing effective and supportive relationships with colleagues
