To support the Financial Controller and to lead the Payroll team to ensure all employees are paid accurately and on time and to oversee the merging of two payrolls / systems into one.
THE ROLE & YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead the payroll team to deliver 100% accurate and on time payroll
Merge two payrolls and systems into one
Maintain all payroll documentation to provide an audit trail
To support internal and external audit process
Line management for the team, dealing with queries and escalations
To attend 'surgery' sessions for employees providing information advice and guidance on process
Liaise with external pension providers as needed
EXPERIENCE SOUGHT IN THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:
Solid experience of line managing a payroll team
Knowledge of end to end payroll procedures
Knowledge of RTI
Confident and proactive manager with a calm and logical approach to workload
