Macildowie is proud to be working with an innovative manufacturing business seeking a hard-working Payroll/Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their finance team on a permanent basis.
Based in North Nottinghamshire, you will be responsible in supporting the finance team to monitor and accurately process purchase invoices and to support the Payroll department to ensure the efficient and effective payment of all weekly and monthly paid staff.

Reporting into Finance Director, you'll be doing a split role 50% of the week in the Purchase Ledger Department and 50% of the week in the Payroll Department. Responsible of the maintenance and development of the companies payroll records, review the time and attendance data and checking hours worked etc, produce weekly headcount report, processing incoming payments and posting to customers accounts, process invoices queries in a timely manner, work with other departments and liaise with suppliers to minimise problems, assist with supplier statement reconciliations, assist general ledger as required, process employee expenses, any other adhoc duties when required.
It is preferred that you have worked in a similar role for at least 2 years, ideally within Payroll and Purchase Ledger ideally with a three way match system. You will have excellent IT skills and a high level of accuracy and excellent communication experience and have the ability to work as part of a team.
