Macildowie HR are currently working on a really exciting opportunity for someone who is looking for a challenging, high volume, high pace HR Officer role, for a changing, national, highly reputable and instantly recognisable manufacturing company.
This position is ideal for a candidate who has previous experience with ER case work, has worked in a fast paced, ever-changing environment and thrives on a challenge.
We are working exclusively with a long standing client of Macildowie who are a UK based manufacturing company mainly focused to the East Midlands. Their HR function is progressive and currently going through an exciting period of change.
What will you be doing?
So day to day you will mainly be responsible for all disciplinaries, grievances, performance management issues, absence issues and long term sickness cases. This is not to be taken lightly, the case load here is very high due to the number of workers you will support
The exciting bits!
You will be responsible for getting the Line Managers on board and push back to ensure procedures are being adhered to. You will need to coach them to manage the processes themselves with regards to ER and be their point of contact for any queries. This will require tenacity, integrity and grit, this role is not for the faint hearted and will definitely suit someone who has worked within a blue collar industry.
The site is currently implementing a HR system and therefore applications with previous experience with this will be prioritised.
