Job Description
We are pleased to announce we are recruiting for a Category Buyer for a well-known UK Manufacturer based in Leicestershire. This role would be joining at an exciting time where our client is looking to add extra firepower!
This role would be looking for an individual with experience as a Buyer, ideally from an Engineering/Automotive/OEM background, that can come in make a big impact! You would be responsible for managing global supplier base, negotiating for best price and quality and working strategically to help the departments goals.
You would be able to deal with a fast-paced environment, and will be looking to develop as there is a strong progression plan in place, with the company known for it's strong internal promotions.
The role offers hybrid working and would be looking to pay between £35,000-£45,000 per annum.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting Company's continued success and growth
- Ensuring best in class BOM, investment and development costs
- Maintaining and building on the current high-quality standards
- Reducing development lead-times and, identifying efficiencies within production process throughout the supply chain
- Identifying new technologies and driving their implementation to enhance product line up
- Effectively identifying and managing risks / opportunities within the supply chain
- Manage and build on the already strong relationships with our supply partners
Ideal Candidate:
- Number of years experience as a Buyer
- OEM/Automotive/Engineering background
- Can work in a fast-paced environment
- CIPS qualified or working towards
- IT Proficient
