Position: Third Party Risk Management Lead
Location: Nottingham
Role: Permanent (Hybrid working, 3 days per week in the office)
Salary: £50,000 + Benefits
I am currently working with a Fortune 500, financial services organisation on an exciting Third Party Risk Management Lead role.
The UK Supplier Management Office is responsible for the management of the end-to-end Third Party life cycle in the UK, including sourcing, contracting, ongoing supplier and relationship management, and off boarding activities.
Reporting to the Head of Third Party Risk & Governance, the Third Party Risk Management Lead will build strong relationships across the business, including with the UK Leadership Team, to help drive the SMO Third Party Risk agenda for the UK business, acting as the key subject matter expert for all Third Party Risk.
Alongside the wider Third Party Risk and Governance function, this role will support the running of our Third Party Risk Management Frameworks in a well-managed, efficient and effective way, through fostering a culture of continuous improvement, relevant reporting, capitalising on enterprise investment and effectively managing change.
Role Responsibilities:
- Develop strong partnerships with Third Party Risk Management and risk management teams, business risk office (BRO), business line areas and legal & compliance.
- Be the primary point of contact within the team for Third Party Management queries both within the UK and with the various enterprise second line risk teams.
- Attend enterprise change forums to consider the impact of new changes being proposed, and provide input on behalf of the UK Business
- Adopt a continuous improvement approach for SMO, including leading retrospectives, and build these improvements into the TPM Programme.
- Partner with and coach the team members in SMO to drive a culture of continuous improvement and sound risk management.
- Work with our Compliance department to understand the regulatory landscape, and emerging regulatory risk, and proactively manage changes to our frameworks to effectively deal with these changes.
- Own the Third Party Management training programme for the UK.
- Run and maintain the Third Party Management Programme Quality Assurance framework.
- Own the UK Third Party Management Metrics, and reporting.
- Perform Third Party Background checks where required.
- Work with Cyber Risk and Information Assurance teams to ensure that Cyber Risk exceptions are documented and up to date.
What you'll bring:
- Experience in a Third Party Management /operational risk management role preferable
- Knowledge and understanding of Third Party Risk and Third Party lifecycle desirable
- Outstanding stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work in collaboration with cross functional teams and demonstrating confident and effective communication
- Coaching and mentoring experience; ability to identify opportunities to enhance team skills and translate into appropriate training frameworks.
- Supporting change and process improvement across the wider team.
- Demonstrated ability to partner, effectively challenge and influence across all levels (incl execs).

- This is a permanent position and is based in our Nottingham office.
