A growing automotive business, head quartered in Derbyshire, are looking for an aspirational purchasing assistant to join their procurement team and continue the exciting growth they've experienced. Working within a national network you will be responsible for helping to source niche parts within a fast moving industry. Part of a fast-paced , close-knit team you will be working under the direction of a hugely supportive and talented procurement manager to deliver exceptional service.
Working with the procurement manager and the rest of the purchasing team you will assist with the ordering and processing of specific components to customer requirements, using a range of bespoke software packages to identify and order the correct product. Once identified, you will then work to source the required products as quickly as possible to deliver the best possible service, whilst negotiating the best possible price from your suppliers.
Above all, this is the perfect environment to learn the basics of procurement. No prior experience is required, just the will to learn and the desire to achieve and perhaps a passion for cars...
Paramount to this role is excellent communication and customer facing skills, across a variety of mediums. The person who will really be successful in this role will be highly detail orientated and focussed on accuracy you'll want to get the job right, first time round.
-£16,000 - £18,000 starting salary with a commitment to review after probation
