The Opportunity

Macildowie Marketing are working with a creative Nottingham based organisation who are positioned among the top companies in the UK and Europe for their services, with clients based all over the world. Their services are at the forefront of digital transformation and they are looking to hire a Product Manager for the launch of an exciting new software product.

The Product Manager will manage and co-ordinate different aspects of a new innovative software product/platform to be launched in the near future in the learning technologies marketplace. The Product Manager will be the champion for the product and must communicate with all areas of the company, working to define product requirements pre and post product launch.

Key Responsibilities

-Ability to understand the steps required to successfully launch a software product in a competitive market
-Quickly understand the strengths and features of the product
-Provide guidance and direction to the product teams on the tasks and schedules that will lead to the successful launch
-Support the development of product documentation for customer training
-Support the development of the product marketing materials and provide input on the channels to market the product successfully
-Liaise with the technical development team on product specifications, pre and post-release of the product
-Support the sales team in the preparation of product demonstrations and sales materials
-Support the training of re-sellers
-Work with the development team to create and maintain the Help files for the product
-Provide technical support to customers
-Continuously conduct market research on similar and competitor products

Key Requirements

Previous experience in managing the launch of a software product is essential and preferably in an international marketplace. The ideal candidate will be degree level and possess the technical knowledge and skills to understand the product functionality and applications in the digital learning industry. Excellent communication and presentation skills will be essential alongside strong planning and project management skills. It is also important that you have the ability to work in a team within all areas of the company because this is an exciting new position which overlaps several business functions.
