Finance Manager
Job Description
Macildowie are delighted to be working with a fantastic not-for-profit organisation in the West Midlands to appoint a Finance Manager to oversee the operational management of the finance function.
The organisation provide valuable services and support to individuals across the country and have experienced an increase in demand for their help and guidance over recent months. In order to support this continued demand, they are seeking to appoint a qualified finance professional to take ownership of the day-to-day finance function, indirectly managing a small but competent team who are all bought into the values and ethos of the organisation.
Reporting into an impressive and supportive CFO, you will be responsiible for;
- Managing the operational finance function for the business
- Provide leadership and guidance to the finance team
- Provision of annual, statutory and group accounts, including tax
- Production of the monthly management accounts pack
- Provision of annual budgets and forecasts, contributing to the strategic plan
- Development of new reporting to support organisation growth
- Providing commercial analysis and reporting to drive strategic growth
- Pricing analysis and contract reporting
- Liaise with external auditors to oversee the annual audit process
- Support in the implementation of a new accounting system
The successful candidate will be a qualified finance professional with a demonstrable track record of financial management and leadership within a small-to-medium organisation. Although this is working for a not-for-profit organisation, candidates do not have to have specific experience of working within the sector, but they must engage with the values of the organisation and an affinity to providing support and help to those in need.
You will be a confident communicator able to work across all levels within an organisation and as such can deputise for the CFO when required. If successful, you will be rewarded with an attractive salary of up to £62,000, 28 days holiday, plus stats, a generous pension scheme and flexible working with candidates expected to be in the Sutton-Coldfield offices just once a week - although you can be in more if that suits!
