Job Description


Macildowie are recruiting for a Purchase Ledger Administrator working for a business based in Northamptonshire. The role will be working within a busy purchase ledger function processing payables, cash expenses and credit card expenses for multiple companies within a group.

This is a permanent full time role.


Creation of new supplier accounts and maintenance of the supplier database within QAD
Accurate and timely processing and posting of purchase invoices, cash expenses and credit card expenses
Matching purchase invoices to GRN receipts and gaining authorisation for invoices without purchase orders
Investigating accounts payable queries and variances
Creating weekly payment runs and uploading to electronic banking system
Reconciling supplier statements on a regular basis
Developing effective relations and working practices with New Product Development, Purchasing, Technical, Operations and Logistics, Sales and Commercial Teams and overseas offices, factories, and suppliers
Developing constructive and effective working relationships with all suppliers
Ensuring accurate and effective recording keeping and filing to comply with legal requirements
Analysis and production of expenditure reports and summaries in conjunction with Head of Financial Accounting
Liaison with External Auditors for successful processing of Annual audit
Compliance with International and UK Accounting Standards
Other duties as delegated from time to time by the Head of Financial Accounting or any other person designated in their absence


Working within a busy Purchase Ledger function processing payables, Cash Expenses and Credit Card expenses for multiple companies within a group
Dealing with multiple currencies
Experience with QAD or other large ERP software desirable but not essential
