Purchase Ledger Clerk, £18,000 - £20'000 PA Newark Nottinghamshire

Macildowie is seeking an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join a busy finance team based in Newark.

Based in the Head Office in Nottingham you'll be providing support to the Finance Manager processing purchase Invoices and dealing with queries ensuring invoices are paid on time.

This is an excellent opportunity to join thriving business that truly looks after their employees and who consistently look to improve employee experiences. Reporting to the Finance Manager you'll be responsible for:

  • Code and check invoices
  • Work out VAT payments
  • Pay out money via BACS or by cheque
  • Check and reconcile supplier statements
  • File invoices and statements
  • Deal with purchase enquiries
  • Process staff expenses

It is preferred that you have worked in a similar role, ideally with experience in Purchase Ledger and have experience working in a large finance team. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will be educated to a minimum of GCSE Grade C in math's and English and have a good working knowledge of Microsoft products specifically Excel.
