I am working with a global, multi-site manufacturing business in Staffordshire. Are you a strong administrator? Do you have a passion for building relationships, working with multiple companies and analysing market trends?

If so this role could be for you! We are looking for a purchasing administrator to join the team. As purchasing administrator you will join an experienced procurement team in a rapidly growing company.

Joining a rapidly growing multi-site manufacturing business, the successful candidate will possess a strong background in purchasing and supply chain management. The candidate will administer the streamlined purchasing and expediting of both inventory and non-stock purchase orders for a multi-site manufacturing business.

The Role
The Purchasing Administrator will help to administer the purchasing and expediting of purchase orders whilst also contributing to identifying and implementing improvements in the Purchasing team.

Key Responsibilities
-Raising approved purchase requisitions into purchase orders;
-Liaising with suppliers
-Expedite purchase orders
-Organise documentation
-Liaise with finance department to ensure suppliers are paid on a timely basis
-Establish relationships with key suppliers
-Ensure that raw materials are purchased at the most competitive price
-Ensure materials are delivered on time for production
-Support with the identification of new suppliers
-Foster close working relationships with other departments
-Occasional supplier visits both in the UK and abroad

Competencies and experience
-Previous experience in a purchasing role
-High competency level in use of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, as a minimum)
-"Hands on" approach to all tasks.
-Ability to take a proactive approach to overcome challenges and achieve results.
-Result orientated and confident.
