Macildowie are excited to be recruiting for a qualified and experienced Quality, Health, Safety & Environment Manager (QSHE Manager) on a permanent basis starting ASAP! Our client is a leading manufacturer in the Construction industry and are very passionate about sustainability, so we are looking for someone who shares the company's vision and values!
The QSHE Manager will take on the responsibility for setting, delivering and evaluating the Quality and HS&E processes to ensure compliance to all legislation and standards. You will also lead on the Site's sustainability agenda and reporting.
Role & Responsibilities include:
Responsible for coordinating the activities required to meet and maintain our quality ISO9001, Safety ISO45001 and environmental ISO14001 standards
Define and manage the Safety and Environmental strategy for the site.
Define and manage the Quality Assurance strategy for the site.
Understand and comply with all applicable requirements of the Company's ISO management systems as documented in the manuals, operating procedures and work instructions
Continue to be aware and up-to-date with new legislation whilst maintaining a working knowledge of all HSE legislation and developments that affect our industry
Alongside the environemtnal strategy you will drive the sustainability agenda and reporting.
Ensure that safe practices and procedures are followed by all employees
Ensure risk assessments are completed whilst always considering how risks can be reduced
Outline safe operational practices whilst identifying all relevant hazards
Record all incidents and accidents whilst also being the point of contact for any investigations
Drive the Visible Felt Leadership safety assessment process.
Work with the key stakeholders in the Group to align the Safety and Environmental activities on site to the Group's SHE Strategy and KPIS.
Organise, implement and facilitate an annual safety event for all company employees in line with head office brief
Manage the documentation and support the performance of product testing to ensure compliance with respective regulatory bodies.
Drive root cause and the corrective actions across the three disciplines
Complete any other reasonable tasks or requests as required, in order to meet KPIs
Ideal Candidate & Skills:
Understanding of the relevant ISO Systems & be a trained internal auditor or have relevant auditing experience
Experience in a similar role is essential
Knowledge of LEAN principles
Strong Technical Knowledge for products manufactured as well as a comprehensive understanding of the Lean Manufacturing Principles and how to embed into all areas of the factory
Numerical, Verbal & Literacy Skills. Able to communicate at all levels and retain confidentiality
Good attention to detail, IT & Microsoft understanding with a commitment to producing a quality output
Financial awareness up to and including understanding & impact on operating results
Experience of managing people, with a confidence to tackle a variety of performance and other related issues, whilst ensuring adherence to HR compliance, processes and policies
