Job Description

A well known worldwide blue-chip organisation are seeking an experienced Regional ER Advisor to deliver high quality and consistent advice to line managers. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a well-known brand, managing your own diary and is a perfect stepping stone into a HR Business Partner role. Looking for a HR professional with excellent ER experience who can work in a fast paced environment delivering excellent results. The role is based from various sites, the majority in Birmingham and the surrounding areas and you'll cover sites across the West Midlands working for big brands. The role is paying £35,500 + Car + Fuel Card (inc. personal) working initially on a 12 month contract (and could become permanent for the right person).

Reporting into a regional HR Manager and working closely with the HR Shared Service function you will work in collaboration with six other regional ER Advisors to provide proactive first line advice and guidance in line with company policy. You will cover disciplinary, grievances, sickness absence, performance and terms & conditions through a coaching and influencing style to bring managers and employees to the right solutions whilst always developing their knowledge. You will use your up to date employment legislation knowledge to understand how this may impact on processes and policies and during these processes, you will build relationships with line managers and employees within the business to become a leader in your field. You will be responsible for complete case management including working on escalated cases up to and including appeal, dismissal and tribunal when required.

You will use management information to identify ER trends and work with the HR Manager on solutions as necessary as well as continuously attaining consistency and compliance across your region. You will also be responsible for managing various redundancy processes from start to finish including coaching line managers through consultations, harmonising contracts and providing all support to employees across the business. There will also be opportunities to get involved in projects including employee engagement, building new processes and working in collaboration with management teams on a monthly bases.


The Candidate

We are looking for an excellent communicator with the ability to build strong relationship with line managers quickly. You will be confident in your ability and have excellent up to date employment law knowledge. Looking for an ambitious and hardworking HR professional who is looking to gain a strong foundation of ER, which will help fast-track you to a HR Business Partner. You will have a proven track record of working on and resolving a number of complex ER cases and will have an excellent coaching style when working with line managers to increase their capability. The role is initially a 12 month contract and could become permanent for the right person.
