Job Description

Macildowie HR is delighted to be working with a national organisation to hire a Regional HR Advisor to cover the Midlands and Southwest. Working closely with the wider HR team, this role will be responsible for the operational delivery of site based HR. This role is offered on either a 9 month FTC or permanent for the right person, paying between £32,000 to £38,000 + benefits.


The Role


This role's main remit is to improve business performance via the swift resolution of employee relations case work, be that sickness / absence management, all the way through to gross misconduct.


There will also be an expectation that you will help guide line managers to upskill themselves and therefore reduce the need for HR presence on site.


Travelling throughout your designated region, you will be the expert and go to for all HR queries and on site issues, which need a strong HR influence. This means any more strategic ER work, such as TUPE or redundancy will fall into your remit.


You will also Identify patterns/trends of ER that may suggest underlying issues and propose viable business solutions providing regular guidance to team members and senior managers on HR services that are compatible with the strategy of the business.


From time to time it may also be the case that you support the Head of HR on Organisation Design, employee engagement initiatives and other HR projects.


The Candidate


The ideal candidate will come from a blue collar environment, and be able to appropriately challenge senior management and staff around HR and ER issues.


You will also need to be experienced in working as an independent professional, with little guidance from head office, as you will often be making quick decisions on site to impact business performance.


Experience in areas such as redundancy and TUPE would be highly advantageous, along with being CIPD qualified or working towards.
