One of the largest businesses in its sector and a market leader in the UK is seeking a HR Business Partner to join their team to help drive the business forward in an operational and strategic role. Partnering all levels of the leadership team, you will build effective relationships in order to provide support on varying HR topics to achieve strategic and operational business objectives and the people agenda. This is a multi-site role working across the North of England paying £43,000 - £50,000 + Car + 10% Bonus + PHC + Pension. Â
Partnering Area Directors, Regional Directors and HR Business Partner you will engage and influence on a range of HR issues and providing solutions and recommendations that demonstrates deep understanding of the business objectives and challenges.
Reporting into the HR Director and working with Regional Directors and Area Directors you will provide direction, leadership and strategic planning, displaying display a true mix of strategic thinking and operational HR expertise. The successful candidate will be joining at an exciting time, as the HR Business Partner you will work with leaders on talent management and succession planning, developing learning and talent management plans to ensure gaps are closed and true leaders emerge through the business. You will work with managers to resolve performance and capability issues using appropriate tools, always encouraging leaders to be clear and honest about employees' strengths, limitations, development needs and career aspirations.
You will build positive relationships with your managers to ensure they are pro-actively engaged with the company vision and strategy focus on employee engagement to ensure that employees connect with and commit to the business strategy, feel valued, are inspired to perform to the best of their ability. As the HR Business Partner you will design and implement the HR strategy for the business area encompassing new processes and systems across your business area and working in line with the wider business agenda and partnering area functions. You will be confident in leading on complex employee relations issues and have the ability to push back and influence managers. You must be experienced in negotiating with trade unions and you will be a key leader in reward strategy in order to meet business needs
As a key employee, you will ensure you continuously meet expectations in delivering results, consider alternative courses of action, make timely decisions and build strong relationships with customers and peers.
- Generalist HR professional
- Experience of leading complex employee relations cases
- Ideally have worked in a multi-site role although this is not essential
- An up to date understanding of employment legislation and HR trends.
- Excellent communicator in order to build strong relationships throughout the HR team and the rest of the organisation.
- Experience of challenging and influencing/coaching managers
- Experience of delivering HR strategy in line with business needs
- Experience of playing a significant role in organisational change
