Job Description

A highly successful global business, with sites based all across the UK is looking for two ambitious Regional Logistics Manager to join their team in Scotland and London. Working alongside the Logistics Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing three main departments within planning, compliance and project management. Working closely with the three other Regional Logistics Managers, you will be responsible for creating strong relationships between all the sites, especially within the c30 sites you will be managing.

The role:
Responsibility for identifying and delivering improvement to road logistics safety and sustainable efficiencies.
Managing the regional planning hubs to ensure delivery of plans for primary, secondary and trunking operations.
Ensure compliance for the region within health and safety, road traffic acts, WTD and EU tachograph regulations.
Creating fleet profiles and capacity planning within the region.
Creating cost and efficiency performance measures for the region.
Managing the haulier consequence management, application of haulier/driver management and vehicle and haulier standards within the region.
Compliance management of vehicle and haulier standards.
Managing the regional haulier rate card and fuel price in conjunction with the logistics category manager.
Work closely with the regional operation teams to identify synergy and efficiency opportunities.
Work closely with the Excellence Manager on the delivery of national logistics projects.

The person:
Experience of working in a Regional Logistics Manager role, managing a planning operation.
It is essential that you have a CPC.
Previous experience of multi-site responsibility is essential.
Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels is essential.
You will need to be able to multi-task and prioritise workloads.
Experience of continuous improvements is essential.

This position is paying £40-50k (depending on location) + a car allowance.
