Job Description

A Northamptonshire based packaging company is now looking to recruit a Regional SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment and Quality) Manager due to expansion.

To be considered for the role, you must be highly experienced in all aspects of health and safety, quality and environmental improvements, ideally from a manufacturing background.

As a Regional SHEQ Manager, you will continuously improve the company's standards using compliance measures such as their existing measures of ISO9001, ISO14001 & FSC as well as future requirements of ISO45001 (H&S), BRC and Investors in People, combining them into a IMS (Integrated Management System). Ensuring all staff are aware of their requirements for the maintenance of the standards
You will lead in all matters of H&S including chairing monthly meetings and helping the committee members achieve their actions, ultimately improving the safety awareness and culture.
To create and control a Facilities Management repository. There is a need to identify who they use for each function, ensuring through tender process that they are the best fit for the business and then centralise for all to access.
To own and control the company intranet once sourced and installed
Produce reports on all areas of the compliance systems, setting targets with KPI's for the Company to achieve.
Lead Facilities Management for the businesses. Identify preferred suppliers for each aspect required, ensuring robust selection criteria via tender processes. Once all contacts known, create a central repository to store all key information such as contact details, contract numbers, areas of cover, frequency of attendance, insurance liability cover etc.
Effectively interact with all Departments to maintain the Company's Quality, Environmental and FSC Systems, ensuring each department understands their role in the compliance system and performs to the required standard
Promote Quality, Environment and FSC achievements and continuous improvement throughout the organisation.
Perform audits on all departments on a regular basis to ensure that all the procedures are up to date, and when required, re write procedures in line with the departments revised process.
Lead all external audits.
Ensure compliance with National and International standards and legislation (SEDEX, Complypak). Detail on an annual basis the Company's packaging waste returns under the guidance of Complypak
Lead problem resolution & analysis to ensure that a full understanding is achieved as to why the non-compliance occurred and what is required to prevent reoccurrence. This to include full communication to all stakeholders. Ideally adopt the principles under 6 Sigma, 5S, 8Y etc.

My client is looking for a SHEQ specialist with the below qualifications:

In return, you will receive a salary of £40'000 to £50'000, plus car allowance + 25 days holidays and more.
