Macildowie Marketing are currently recruiting for a marketing insight and research analyst to join a well known B2C organisation located in Nottingham.
Data and insight are at the heart of this business and it's the role of Business Intelligence to continually develop and deliver improved insights and reporting.
As Insight and Research Analyst, you will generate insights about their customers using a combination of research (including online surveys, call centre activity and focus groups) and analysis of behavioural and transactional analysis. Though understanding what's most important to their customers and sharing these insights with senior stakeholders, you will help improve, for example, retention of existing customers and conversion of new customers.
-Meet and liaise with stakeholders to agree ad hoc research projects, as well as oversee the ongoing customer satisfaction process (NPS-type survey)
-Carry out surveys. This includes writing and managing the distribution of surveys and questionnaires typically delivered via online or call centre.
-Carry out focus groups. As well as summarizing the output, this also includes selecting and inviting customers, coordination with the venue, and facilitating / moderating the session.
-Analyse customer behaviour by segment, highlighting opportunities and concerns
-Analyse project trials designed to improve conversion and retention
-Develop strong relationships with senior management across Marketing, Operations and Finance
The role includes a mix of regular and ad hoc activity.
You will be passionate about understanding customers and using those insights to influence what an organisation does from an Operations, Marketing or Product perspective. You will be confident, analytical and enjoy problem solving and be able to get the message across, adapting your approach to suit the audience. It is important that you are comfortable in a fast-paced environment and can build strong working relationships with key stakeholders throughout a business. This role would suit an individual with an enthusiastic and forward thinking outlook which will enable you to highlight business opportunities and risks, helping to improve the overall customer experience. Other key requirements include:
-A strong understanding of insight techniques, including quantitative and qualitative customer research, mystery shoppers and customer satisfaction surveys
-Good knowledge of analytics including database management (SQL or similar), reporting (Excel and -PowerPoint) and evaluation techniques
-A strong customer focused background
-Ability to transform complex data analysis into simple, clear interpretation
