Macildowie are working with a leading business based in the Leicestershire to source an experienced Senior Demand & S&OP Planner/Manager to join at an exciting time. The Senior Demand & S&OP Planner/Manager will lead the S&OP function across the two plants and the network of import
terminals, ensuring the provision of accurate and timely information for supply chain management and
strategic decision making.
key responsibility is the maintenance of detailed line by line forecast information held on a shared
database, through which live information can be accessed by the commercial managers and supply chain
team across the division.
To maintain this comprehensive dataset, the Senior Demand & S&OP Planner/Manager will liaise and maintain ongoing
relationships with internal colleagues to ensure the provision of accurate forecasts, and plan for future
volume requirements in a proactive manner. Through working closely with the National Sales Managers,
sales expectations for the external customer base will also be incorporated to the database in order to
generate an overall understanding of the sales demand.
The Senior Demand & S&OP Planner/Manager will carry out the regular activities required in the financial planning cycle, ensuring
that all deadlines are achieved as specified. In addition to this, the Senior Demand & S&OP Planner/Manager will act as the focal
point for the team in the provision and presentation of sales data, collating forecast information for
decision making, tracking variance analysis to evaluate forecast accuracy and producing the KPI's
required by the Commercial team.
-Forecasting and sales/operational planning
-Complete the activities required in the financial planning cycle, including the receipt and input of the
internal business forecasts, review and revision of the external customer volumes, collation of
overall demand and completion of the integrated monthly forecast for sign off by the Commercial
and Industrial management teams.
-Upload of the agreed monthly forecast to SAP in line with the specified deadlines to enable plant
and production planning at both sites
-Maintenance of a live set of data to ensure accurate planning of import requirements, and the
corresponding scheduling of vessels and haulage resources.
-Facilitate effective communication between the sales, supply chain and industrial teams across the
Ongoing monitoring and analysis of daily sales data to identify trends, provide extrapolations,
evaluate data accuracy and ensure the provision of accurate information as required.
In order to be successful in the role, you will have experience in the following:
-analysing the data, drawing conclusions when challenged by senior management
-building strong relationships with internal stakeholders
-presenting the information to the board of Directors
Ideally, you will come from a construction or manufacturing background.
If you can demonstrate the above, the salary will in the region of £40'000-£45'000 plus additional benefits.
