Our client, a global organisation and market leader in its sector, is seeking a detail-conscious Sales Support Administrator with strong Excel ability, to support their Sales Account Managers, ensuring that they have what they need to deliver first-class service to their customers. You'll conduct a wider variety of tasks from market research to preparing proposals and quotations, as well as arranging customer appointments.
THE ROLE & YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide first responses to customer enquiries, asking questions to establish needs and escalating to the correct Sales and Account Management teams as appropriate
Contacting customers and prospects (mainly via email, with some telephone contact). Following up contact with appropriate appointments and documentation (catalogues, price lists, samples, images, quality and product data) as required.
Create new customer accounts, reports, proposals, sell sheets, sales documents and E-blast invitations using existing templates. Maintain master sheets of product information including volumetric and quality data.
Preparing ad hoc letters and documents for the Sales team
Support the Marketing team with catalogue mailings, proofing of pages and maintenance of the mailing and image databases. Assisting with preparation for, and participating in, exhibitions and trade shows as required.
Support the bids and tender process with product information and maintenance of tender website subscriptions
Filing, photocopying and other general administration tasks
EXPERIENCE SOUGHT IN THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:
A good standard of education (minimum GCSE level or equivalent including English and Maths). Relevant professional qualifications are advantageous but not essential.
A high degree of IT literacy - competent user of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Familiarity with Vlookups and Pivot tables would be a great advantage!
Previous administration experience is essential, preferably gained within a sales office environment
Excellent organisational skills - able to work under own initiative in a fast-paced environment to achieve deadlines
