I'm working to recruit a Financial Controller to business partner with the Senior Management team across a Â£400m cost base for a £multibillion T/O Retail and Distribution organisation.
In this position you will business partner closely with the Senior Management team including the Head of Buying and Procurement to support with driving double digit cost improvement and support the internal "Synergy" projects. The initial project is expected to last for 3-4 months however a permanent position could be available depending on performance.
This position is for the commercially savvy. You will manage a team of 3 , however the bulk of the commercial modelling and variance analysis and reporting sits with you. The organisation are keen to secure a solutions focused individual who will not just report variances but report on areas of opportunity and suggest solutions to bridge the gaps. A true senior business partner you will build brilliant relationships across business areas including buying, supply chain and distribution.
Key experience required:
Proven experience in partnering with non-finance
Process improvement / cost improvement experience demonstrated at interview
Experience gained within FMCG/Retail/Distribution environment
Advanced Excel skills and demonstrable ability to develop complex financial models
Experience using enterprise finance systems including Cognos , Oracle etc
