Senior HR Business Partner - Peterborough with Travel - Permanent - up to £75,000 + Car
Macildowie is delighted to be supporting a fantastic FMCG business in the recruitment of a Senior HR Business Partner role which, while based in Peterborough, will require travel across the UK. The role, reporting into the HR Director, will be recruited on a permanent basis and our client will offer a competitive salary and benefits package.
The Senior HR Business Partner will take the lead on developing and implementing a forward thinking, proactive HR strategy working closely with the exec and management team for the manufacturing and supply chain business.
Items high on the people agenda for the business will be talent, capability and change management. The Senior HR Business Partner will be expected to deliver a holistic strategy that will drive performance and engagement within the business as they look to build on already strong foundations. Specific target areas for improvement will be around succession rates and, more broadly, career development, well-being and engagement, performance and recognition.
As lead on change and improvement programmes, the Senior HRBP will be removed from the day to day operational rigours of an HR function but will manage a small team to ensure timely and effective support to the business in this regard. The postholder will ensure the team is motivated and have clear development plans to ensure high levels engagement and performance, but also ensure that the team is as multi-skilled as possible. The Senior HRBP will also build relationships with group centres of excellence to draw in expert support where required.
Although partnering with a specific business area, the Senior HRBP will be expected to network and build relationships with the wider group business to ensure and maximise on leveraging opportunities.
To be considered for this role, candidates must be technically capable (ideally CIPD qualified) with experience in a blue collar environment. Experience, in organisational change such as restructures, TUPE, org design and unions will all be beneficial for succeeding in this role. From a behavioural perspective, candidates will be positive thinkers with a team centric mentality and be able to demonstrate a sound commercial and pragmatic approach to HR.
