Senior HR Officer - Northamptonshire - Permanent - c£40,000

Macildowie are delighted to be working exclusively on an exciting Senior HR Officer role in Northamptonshire. The role will be recruited on a permanent position and will offer a salary c£40,000.

The Role
The Senior HR Officer, reporting into the HR Director, will be responsible for the end to end HR provision for a small site in Northamptonshire and will, due to the nature of the role, be required to operate up and down across the levels as required.

While the HR Director will create the strategy, the Senior HR Officer will partner with the site leadership team to effectively deliver the strategy, while also devising localised initiatives and agendas to support the business objectives. Given the size of the site there is not expected to be focus on reactive HR practices but the postholder will be responsible for managing employee relations matters and HR systems and payroll activities.

The greater focus for this role will be to add value and be proactive in developing the workforce. Using the HR system, the postholder will build new reporting processes to inform the business on people performance which will, in turn, provide the foundations for improvement initiatives. Key focus areas for the Senior HR Officer are expected to be around Employee Engagement, talent management and management development.

Success in the role will look like improved management capability, increased engagement levels and progress towards better performance.

The Person
To be considered for this role you will have a solid generalist HR background and a demonstrable track record of being a hands-on operator. You will be inquisitive and have an eye for an opportunity to make a difference this could be as simple as improving policy and process through better systems usage, or it could be spotting a gap in the management training offering. You'll need to be a self starter and drive new initiatives, leveraging effective relationships you will be building with the business. Ideally you'll be CIPD qualified but it won't be a deal breaker if you can demonstrate the other experience and qualities we are looking for.
