Macildowie Marketing are recruiting for an experienced and ambitious Senior PR Account Manager to join a successful Agency in the Milton Keynes area. This is a great opportunity to work across a number of key accounts and deliver a totally end to end service across PR and Social Media with the support of an experienced studio.
The PR Account Manager will be responsible for day-to-day management of account handling, both in terms of activities and longer term planning and delivery across a number of exciting accounts.
You will be accountable for tasks and projects carried out by junior team members and will provide support. It will be important to influence good practice in other team members through demonstrating best practice and on-time delivery. The PR Account Manager will need to be both, creative and strategic, and help in meeting the clients KPI's.
You will be expected to drive and manage client meetings, responding to the dynamics of that meeting and ensuring that clear objectives are agreed and delivered. You will also oversee the completion of job sheets and the management of budgets.
Relationships and communication - You will have excellent communication skills and be capable of producing written material from press releases to feature materials, as well as being well-acquainted with online media and responding to its demands. You will also be proactive in communicating regularly with clients, suppliers and managers regarding progress of accounts.
Planning, strategic thinking and initiative - You will be well-organised and self-motivated, planning your own workloads as well as overseeing those of juniors. You will regularly work across more than one client or project and be able to clearly prioritise as well as delegate both upwards and downwards.
Financial awareness - The PR Account Manager will oversee basic budgets and job sheets and be accountable for their accuracy and project profitability, with support from the senior management.
Knowledge - You will be competent on software programmes including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint and embrace PR 'best practice' guidelines.
Business Development - You will be comfortable identifying and responding to opportunities to develop clients' programmes, and contribute as required to new business activities.
