Macildowie are currently recruiting for a Senior Receptionist and Administrator working for a business based in Melton Mowbray. The primary focus of the role is to answer all incoming telephone calls on a busy switchboard ensuring that all calls are dealt with effectively and efficiently. As the first point of contact for visitors and contractors, the receptionist will need to be professional and welcoming at all times.
This is a temporary ongoing role working Monday to Friday 830am - 430pm
THE ROLE & YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Answering all incoming calls on a busy switchboard
Greet all visitors and contractors in a friendly and efficient manner
Ensure all messages are distributed accordingly either face to face, by email or by tannoy
The ability to remain calm under pressure
Hold the 'fire tag' whilst manning reception and be responsible for calling the fire brigade upon any fire alarm
Maintain excellent communication skills with the ability to deal with all levels of managements and VIP's
Maintain a professional appearance at all times
Ensure appropriate paperwork is completed before visitors and contractors are able to enter the bakery
Ensure that all incoming post is distributed efficiently
Ensure that all outgoing post is sorted ready for collection at the end of every day
Maintain a high standard of housekeeping within the reception area
A proactive approach to achieving the highest of standards
Flexible approach to working hours to cover holidays, absence and alternate shifts when applicable
Understand and adhere to relevant Standard Operative Procedures (SOP's)
Responsible for the franking machine, ensuring that this has sufficient money on for all post
Responsible for ordering stationary, storing and distributing this
Administration duties to support the Personnel Team: (NB- this list is not exhaustive)
Creating mail merges
Sending reference requests
Typing up of notes
EXPERIENCE SOUGHT IN THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:
In order to be considered for the position you MUST have recent strong reception and administration skills. You must have excellent communication skills both written and verbal, be confident with all of the Microsoft package (including excel) and be immediately available for work.
