Macildowie Marketing are working with a large well known retail/ecommerce business in Nottingham to hire an SEO Assistant. This role will play a crucial part within a forward thinking business with digital at the heart of their growth strategy. Their website has over 100,000 visitors per week and currently generates over 70% of their business.
You will join a large and growing Head Office Marketing team to help deliver SEO best practice by supporting the SEO Manager to deliver the SEO strategy across all brands. You will provide support with technical SEO tasks and help to identify areas across the website to make improvements with SEO in mind. There will be responsibility to utilise tools to monitor performance for the business and for competitors and review content and identify opportunities ensuring all content created is best in class for SEO.
This will be an evolving role where it will be important to develop your understanding of technical SEO and keep up to date with changes in search and you will also get the opportunity to assist in project managing key projects such as site speed for example.
The successful candidate will have a passion for websites and digital marketing and ideally have previous experience performing technical SEO tasks but enthusiasm and desire to add value to the business and develop personally in this field will be really important.
Strong analytical skills will be advantageous and you must be comfortable with numbers and data analysis with attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills will be important along with an ability to multitask and prioritise workload effectively within a large and often fast paced organisation.
