Macildowie HR are excited to be working with a leading retail brand who are looking for a Store HR Manager to join their Birmingham branch. This could be the perfect opportunity for someone who is currently a Store HR Manager and is looking for a new challenge, or a Store HR Advisor who is looking for the next step up. Within the next 12 months the store will be moving and more than doubling in size so this is for someone who is excited by that challenge and wants to give their all to building a successful branch.

You MUST have experience as a Store HR Professional and be happy to work weekends.

Store HR Manager
A large part of this role will be partnering with line managers and supervisors in order to coach through ER issues or improve employee engagement and staff retention. This will require you to be able to build strong working relationships and have an empathetic, patient and professional approach. It will be your responsibility to monitor performance management and ensure that probationary / appraisals are undertaken effectively.

Being responsible for the end to end recruitment process for retail operatives and supervisors, you will feel passionate about finding the right people for the branch, location and brand. The culture that you will build will aim to be one of self learning and development in order to get the best out of each member of staff.

The back-office responsibilities also sit with this Store HR Manager requiring you to keep all policies up to date and manage reporting, analysis and evaluation for budget, turnover, compliance, absence management etc. With Health and Safety being a priority, you will ensure training is regularly provided on Health and Safety and security, whilst making sure first aiders are in store and qualifications / courses are up to date.

The Candidate
- A career working within HR in a retail store of 100+ employees
- Experience of managing complex and repetitive ER issues
- A strong understanding of employment law
- Proven ability to build long term, empathy-driven professional relationships
- Passion and drive to want to develop a thriving branch
