Macildowie Marketing are working with a large well known professional services organisation located in Coventry who are looking to grow their Strategy team which sits within the Product, Marketing and Strategy department. We are looking for skilled and highly motivated analysts capable of monitoring the market and competitor activity, with the ability to distil complex information into simple and impactful insight. As well as analytical skills we require a strategic thinker who can see the bigger picture and recognise the impact that future change may bring on the organisation and their core/wider markets. The ability to recognise opportunities and threats as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills is essential, as the Exec board will be your key stakeholders.
The strategy analyst will help to deliver and develop the overall business strategy and ambition. A key part of the role will be to identify and analyse strategic opportunities by creating 'outside-in' insight on customers, markets and competitors. You will assist senior managers across the business to develop customer propositions and the general business model.
-Takes ownership for capturing and documenting emerging customer, competitor, market and technology trends to inform future strategy discussions.
-Uses insight to make endorsements based on sound analysis with issues, trends and opportunities identified and documented.
-Monitoring and measuring processes in place and ensuring stakeholders are kept informed
-Developing insight, disruptive thinking, ideas and alternatives using an outside-in perspective to identify opportunities to improve or enhance the business model and proposition to customers. -Making recommendations to senior managers based on opportunities identified during analysis and taking feedback from line managers and members of the Product, Marketing and Strategy teams.
-Assisting with driving forward individual strategic agenda items and customer proposition projects, including partnering with other areas of the Product and Marketing team and other functions across the organisation.
-Assisting with the development and preparation of the Strategic Plan and materials to support the Board and Senior Management with their strategic discussions.
-Ensuring the team meets all legislative and internal control and risk management requirements.
You will ideally be able to provide evidence of developing ideas and insight proactively and providing a robust fact base of external insight to support conclusions within a commercial environment.
You will ideally be degree qualified with strong experience of post educational work and the ability to demonstrate strategic thinking that focuses on the bigger picture. You will have the capability to develop clear and impactful written presentations, supported by robust insight and analysis. Finally it will be essential to have experience using Word and PowerPoint to produce compelling documents and presentations and the ability to use Excel or similar systems to analyse and model strategic alternatives.
