Job Description

An opportunity to join a well established retail business during an exciting period of change. The Trading Finance team are finance professionals that drive business performance by effectively business partnering across the Commercial and Commercial Supply teams to make informed and effective commercial decisions, and maximise value creation.

Responsibilities will include

Managing a team of 2 Supply Chain Finance Analyst.
Oversee and deliver timely day-to-day forecasting, analysis and performance commentary

Business partner and be the primary point of contact for the Commercial Supply Chain & Logistics, highlighting gaps in actual financial performance vs. target and proactively work with the relevant teams to identify ways to optimise performance

Oversee and deliver timely and accurate reporting, planning, budgeting & forecasting
Oversee the Sourcing Tool identifying improvements to the Tool itself, and ways to increase adoption across the Commercial teams to deliver financial benefits
Oversee the monitoring of stock levels to ensure they are maintained at appropriate levels and at a reasonable valuation, and that returns are maximised from new, slow-moving or seasonal line.

Analytical support and reporting commentary to the Commercial teams to help make sound commercial business decisions and improve business performance
Work closely within the Accounting and Reporting, Financial Accounting and Analytics teams to provide an end-to-end service to our stakeholders
Work closely with the other Finance Managers to support category specific initiatives/actions to improve the performance of RO and Returns.
Responsible for managing and developing team members

As the ideal candidate for this role you will hold a recognised accounting qualification ACCA, CIMA, ACA and have 3-10 years post-qualification experience. Strong commercial acumen, curiosity beyond traditional finance boundaries and ability to understand key business drivers along with the ability to present complex information in a simplified manner. You will be creative and solution-focused and posses strong analytical skills, Excel & Access skills and attention to detail.
