L&D Specialist - Sales
Location: Leicester (with weekly travel)
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum
Contract: Permanent | Full-time
We're supporting a successful SME to recruit their first dedicated Sales Trainer - an exciting opportunity to join their Learning & Development function and make a real difference.
This is a brand-new role, created to focus entirely on developing sales capability across the business. You'll be part of the L&D team, but your focus will be on designing and delivering engaging training that helps sales teams build confidence, upsell effectively, and strengthen account management skills.
What you'll be doing
- Designing and delivering training for new starters and existing sales staff.
- Creating simple, practical learning that gets real buy-in.
- Coaching and mentoring sales teams and managers to build confidence and consistency.
- Embedding account management and upselling skills to add value to customer relationships.
- Tailoring training methods depending on the team, customer, or branch.
- Working closely with L&D and senior leadership to align training with business objectives.
- Introducing fresh ideas - including e-learning - to strengthen the L&D offering.
What we're looking for
- Proven background in sales (new business and/or account management).
- Strong communication and coaching skills - able to keep things simple and effective.
- Experience in delivering training and motivating others.
- Ability to adapt methods to different learners and situations.
- Organised, proactive, and keen to make a visible impact.
