Recruitment and Onboarding Advisor
Location: Leicester - Car driver require due to travel between sites.
Salary: £30,000 £35,000 DOE
Type: Permanent
Working Arrangement: Hybrid (3 days office / 2 days home flexibility required)
Macildowie are exclusively working with this client based in Leicester on a brand-new opportunity within a high-performing and people-focused organisation. This role has been created to provide dedicated, hands-on recruitment and onboarding support across a diverse and operationally complex environment.
This is a critical appointment within the HR function ideal for an experienced internal recruiter who can confidently manage the full hiring process while also playing a key role in delivering a seamless onboarding experience. The role will report directly into the HR Operations Manager and collaborate with stakeholders across a range of departments and business units.
You'll be responsible for delivering a consistent and high-quality experience to both hiring managers and new starters, from vacancy approval through to Day One onboarding. This will include coaching managers on best practice recruitment, managing candidate pipelines, coordinating offers and contracts, and working closely with payroll, HR and systems colleagues to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Alongside your talent acquisition experience, you'll also bring an organised, process-driven approach to onboarding administration. Your ability to manage detail particularly around contracts, right to work, salary data and systems will be critical.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end recruitment across multiple business areas
- Develop job descriptions and adverts aligned to employer brand
- Act as a trusted advisor to hiring managers, coaching on best practices
- Use Teamtailor ATS to track, manage and report on recruitment activity
- Maintain high attention to detail when producing offer letters and contracts
- Ensure all onboarding activities are completed accurately and on time
- Coordinate with HR, finance and payroll for a smooth new starter process
- Deliver a high-quality candidate experience throughout the hiring journey
- Support broader HR administration as needed, ensuring data integrity
- Contribute to ongoing improvements in process, systems and candidate engagement
Person Specification:
- Proven internal recruitment experience in a busy, hands-on role
- Experience in onboarding or HR administration is highly beneficial
- Confident building relationships with managers and influencing hiring decisions
- Highly organised and methodical with strong attention to detail
- Proficient in ATS systems (Teamtailor experience desirable)
- Able to manage multiple roles and stakeholders simultaneously
- Passionate about delivering a best-in-class candidate experience
