Job Description

Job Title: Junior Demand Planner
Location: NG2
Salary: Up to £26,000 (dependent on experience)
Contract: Permanent

Role Overview:

We are looking for a proactive Junior Demand Planner to support our category team in NG2. This role involves data analysis, administration, and coordination to ensure optimal product stocking, supplier relationships, and sales growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in range reviews and product planning.

  • Collect and analyse data on product performance to guide buying decisions.

  • Prepare and maintain reports, trackers, and spreadsheets.

  • Help create and schedule promotional plans, coordinating with marketing/merchandising teams.

  • Ensure accurate product setups and stock levels.

  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries.

  • Assist in inventory management and demand forecasting.

  • Collaborate with internal teams (operations, logistics, customer service) for smooth order-to-delivery flow.

  • Provide administrative support, including organizing meetings and maintaining documents.

Person Specification:

Essential:

  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with advanced Excel proficiency.

  • Experience using SAP.

  • High attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Proactive with the ability to work independently.

Desirable:

  • Experience in retail, wholesale, or category management.

  • Familiarity with inventory systems and demand forecasting.

  • Promotional planning experience.
