Cookie Policy

In common with most other modern websites, our website uses cookies.

A cookie is a small text file, typically consisting of letters and numbers, downloaded on to a device when the user accesses certain websites. Cookies are then sent back to the originating website on each subsequent visit. Cookies are useful because they allow a website to recognize a visitor’s device.

We use cookies to keep track of some of the actions you have taken to streamline your experience and to remember you when you return to the site. We also use cookies to store user preferences and to provide anonymized tracking data to third party applications such as Google Analytics. This means we can track and measure how many users visit our website, and how often they return. This anonymous data helps us to determine how to improve our website.

We want to prevent information being stored on your computer or other internet capable device (referred to as ‘devices’ in this policy), and used to recognise you via the device you are using, without your knowledge and agreement. However, we can only provide you with certain personalized features and functionality on this website by using cookies.

So what are cookies and what do we use them for?

To search jobs on the Macildowie website and have those jobs remembered when you log in to your account, you need to have cookies enabled. If you don't wish to enable cookies, you'll still be able to browse the site. Most web browsers have cookies enabled by default but there should be a mechanism in your browser for you to turn that off if you wish.

Our cookies can't harm your device. We don't store personally identifiable information in them. However, we do use encrypted information from them to help streamline and improve our visitors’ experience of the site. As an example, cookies help us to spot and fix issues, or to work out which relevant related jobs to show you when you're browsing.

You can opt out of using cookies on this website at any time in your user profile section. If you'd prefer to restrict, block or delete cookies from macildowie.com, or any other website, you can use your browser to do this. Each browser is different, so check the 'Help' menu of your particular browser (or your device’s manual) to learn how to change your cookie preferences.

Some cookies will expire at the end of a browser session (from when you open the browser window to when you exit the browser) or they can be stored for longer.

Cookies can be ‘first party’ – generated by our website and allowed in every browser by default or ‘third party’ – generated by a website with a domain name other than the one the user is currently visiting.
