Location: Lichfield (with occasional travel to Swindon & Stansted)

Are you passionate about recruitment, training, and shaping culture?
I am working exclusively to recruit a Resourcing & Training Manager to join a leading retailers distribution division during an exciting period of growth and transformation. This is a new role looking after technical trainers and driving quality recruitment processes to develop strong candidate pipelines and support developing people strategies.


About the role:
This is a brand-new position, created to professionalise and strengthen recruitment, onboarding and training across logistics and warehousing. You'll play a key role in reducing agency reliance, improving retention, and building a scalable people framework to support future depot growth.


What you'll be doing:
Leading workforce planning and resourcing for drivers, warehouse staff and depot managers.
Managing and developing a small team of trainers to deliver high-quality technical and compliance training.
Driving improvements to onboarding and induction, ensuring a consistent and engaging employee experience.
Relaunching and embedding the LMS, moving away from paper-based training to digital records.
Partnering with depot and transport managers to understand resourcing needs and deliver long-term solutions.
Supporting first-line management development and best practice in leadership.


What we're looking for:
Experience in recruitment, resourcing, training, or L&D (ideally in logistics, distribution, or a similar fast-paced operational environment).
Strong ability to build credibility with operational leaders and influence at all levels.
Knowledge of workforce planning, compliance training, and onboarding.
CIPD Level 3 or5 (or working towards) desirable.
A hands-on, pragmatic approach with the ability to balance operational delivery with strategic improvement.
