Financial Accountant
Job Description
Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Qualified Financial Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, analyzing, and reporting accurate financial information in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). This role requires strong technical accounting knowledge, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with IFRS and company policies.
Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, regulations, and internal controls.
Assist with the consolidation of group accounts and intercompany reconciliations.
Manage general ledger entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and journal postings.
Support the budgeting and forecasting processes with financial analysis and insights.
Provide technical accounting guidance on complex transactions and business activities.
Liaise with external auditors and coordinate year-end audit requirements.
Contribute to process improvements to enhance financial reporting and control efficiency.
Keep up to date with changes in IFRS and advise management on the impact of new standards.
Qualifications & Experience:
Fully qualified accountant (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
Strong knowledge and proven experience of IFRS reporting.
Solid background in financial accounting and statutory reporting.
Experience working in a corporate finance team or audit environment.
Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with accounting/ERP systems.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in a multinational or group reporting environment.
Exposure to consolidation tools or ERP systems (e.g., Navision).
Knowledge of local tax and regulatory requirements (depending on jurisdiction)
