Accounts Receivable Administrator

Location: Nottingham (Hybrid) - NG7
Salary: £25,000 - £28,000 (DOE) + benefits

Macildowie are delighted to be working with a growing international business to recruit an Accounts Receivable Administrator to join their Finance team in Nottingham, NG7.

This is a great opportunity for someone with accounts receivable or credit control experience who wants to develop their career in a collaborative, supportive environment.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Accounts Receivable, you'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the AR function. You'll be responsible for posting and allocating payments, managing unallocated cash, and maintaining strong relationships with both internal stakeholders and external customers.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Daily posting and allocation of bank receipts.
  • Investigating and resolving unallocated payments.
  • Performing bank reconciliations, VAT, and correctional postings.
  • Processing invoices, self-bills, and credit notes.
  • Managing a small portfolio of customer accounts.
  • Producing monthly account statements and dunning letters.
  • Opening and maintaining customer accounts and master data.
  • Supporting month-end billing processes and general finance admin.

About You

  • 1+ year's B2B Accounts Receivable or Credit Control experience.
  • Strong IT skills (Excel - VLOOKUPs, pivot tables).
  • Experience with systems such as Sage, SAP, Oracle, MS Dynamics or Salesforce.
  • Excellent numerical skills with a strong eye for detail.
  • Organised, proactive, and confident working both independently and within a team.
  • GCSEs (including Maths & English) or equivalent. CICM qualifications (or studying towards) would be an advantage.
