Macildowie are working with this client based in Market Harborough on an excellent opportunity for an Accounts Manager to lead the accounts payable and receivable function within a dynamic and growing organisation in the travel and leisure sector.
This is a permanent position covering an initial 12‑month maternity leave, with exciting plans to transition into a systems transformation project and broader finance opportunities over the following year. You'll be leading a small transactional finance team and playing a vital role in supporting the implementation of a new finance system.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage a small AP and AR team (2 direct reports), leading on performance reviews, one-to-ones, and development.
Oversee supplier payments, banking relationships, reconciliations and customer receipts/refunds.
Support the transition from SunSystems to Workday, leading on project delivery alongside the Financial Controller.
Process improvement: drive efficiency and accuracy across financial operations.
Work collaboratively across HR, IT, Product and Operations to resolve queries and support business change.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
5+ years' experience in accounts payable/receivable roles with team leadership.
Strong reconciliation skills with a sharp eye for resolving anomalies.
Resilient, organised, and process-oriented with excellent Excel ability.
Confident in managing stakeholders and communicating across departments.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with seasonal variation in workload.
An adaptable and open-minded - for someone who enjoys change and project work.
