We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Accountant to join a leading business based in Northampton. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a fast paced growing business.
The role will support the Accounting function by handling day-to-day accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy of financial records, processing transactions, and performing reconciliations.
You will also gain exposure to:
- Preparing and processing fixed asset journals and reconciliations
- Lease accounting, including budgeting, forecasting and reporting
- Variance analysis, liaising with both finance and operational teams
- Supporting with external audits and financial reporting
- Driving process improvement and internal control monitoring
The role offers a solid grounding in Financial Reporting and Accounting, with opportunities for progression.
The Ideal Candidate:
- AAT qualified/graduate or studying towards early stages of ACCA/CIMA
- Strong Excel and IT skills
- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
- Proactive, organised and keen to develop within a supportive finance team
