Senior Finance Analyst (FP&A) 6 Month Fixed Term Contract
£65,000 - £80,000 - East Midlands - Hybrid
A well-established UK organisation is seeking an experienced a Senior Finance Analyst/FP&A Analyst to join its central finance team on a 6 month fixed term basis. This role supports senior leadership and multiple business areas, offering broad exposure and a high level of visibility within a fast-moving, commercially focused environment.
This opportunity will suit someone who is comfortable stepping into new environments quickly, has a track record of delivering in interim, contract or project-based roles, and enjoys working with complex data to drive insight and decision-making.
The role
Reporting into senior finance leadership, you will play a key role in delivering both business-as-usual reporting and more advanced, complex analysis. The position requires someone who thrives in pace, can manage competing priorities, and is confident working with large and varied data sets.
Key responsibilities include:
- Producing high-quality weekly and monthly management reporting within tight deadlines
- Building and maintaining complex financial reports using multiple data sources
- Delivering insightful analysis to support performance management and decision-making
- Providing regular and ad-hoc reporting to identify trends, risks and opportunities
- Supporting data preparation and analysis for senior leadership and external presentations
- Driving improvements in reporting efficiency, accuracy and automation
- Partnering with stakeholders across the business as a trusted finance contact
About you
- Strong FP&A experience within a complex, fast-paced organisation
- Proven background in interim roles, fixed term contracts or project-based roles
- Ideally fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) or equivalent level experience
- Highly analytical, with experience working across multiple and varied data sets
- Advanced Excel skills; Power BI or similar reporting tools highly desirable
- Strong understanding of P&L, balance sheet and cash flow relationships
- Confident communicator, comfortable operating with senior stakeholders
- Resilient, adaptable and able to hit the ground running
- Available at short notice
