Transactional Finance Manager - Maternity Cover (14-month FTC)

Macildowie are working with this client based in Leicester, a well-known brand operating within a fast-paced environment, to recruit a Transactional Finance Manager on a 14-month fixed-term maternity cover contract.

• Contract: 14-month Fixed Term Contract (Maternity Cover)
• Start date: c. 1 April 2026
• End date: 30 June 2027
• Salary: Up to £45,000
• Working pattern: Predominantly office-based (4-5 days per week)
• Flexibility: Ad-hoc flexibility around working location

Reporting into senior finance leadership, this role holds full ownership of the transactional finance function, with responsibility for leading a team of 2 full-time and 2 part-time staff across purchase ledger, sales ledger and petty cash.

Key responsibilities:

• Overall management of purchase ledger, sales ledger and payments processes
• Leadership and development of the transactional finance team, including 1-2-1s
• Ownership of weekly payment runs, banking activity and cashflow forecasting
• Acting as escalation point for complex supplier and customer queries
• Supporting month-end close, reconciliations and reporting
• Driving process improvements and efficiencies within transactional finance
• Working closely with senior stakeholders to ensure strong financial controls
